  1. Where does the name « TENCO » come from?

    In 1976, when the company was founded, there were ten shareholders. « Ten » combined with the abbreviation of company « co » makes Tenco.

  2. Who started the company?

    Pierre Métras, our current President, was one of the ten founding shareholders.

  3. Where is St-Valérien-de-Milton?

    St-Valérien-de-Milton is located in the Montérégie area. The municipality is only a fifteen-minute drive from Granby and St. Hyacinth, and about one hour from South-East Montreal.

  4. How do we distribute our products?

    Our products are distributed via a high-quality distribution network that allows us to serve customers in North and South America.

  5. How can I return parts or equipment purchased from Tenco?

    Please contact our Customer Support Team. Provided that conditions are met, we will send you an RMA form. This form will specify the reason why the spare parts or equipment are returned as well as the applicable conditions.

  6. I would like to order your products by Internet. How should I proceed?

    Go to the section titled « New Member » to register. Within a few days, you will get an e-mail that will start the process. Once registered, you will have access to the e-business section of our Web site.

  7. How can I check to see if my order has been shipped?

    In the e-business section of our Web site, click on « Order ». This Web page will list all your orders. Select an order to find out if it has been shipped and the date of shipment.

  8. What is the TENCO warranty?

    All TENCO Machinery (CDN) Ltd. new products are guaranteed against manufacturing defects with regard to assembly and materials (when properly assembled, fitted, maintained and used) for the duration of the product warranty, i.e. usually one (1) year, parts and labour.  Some items may be covered by an extended warranty or the manufacturer’s warranty with regard to components such as hydraulics, engines or others.

  9. Is there a sales representative or distributor in my area?

  10. What are your business hours for pick-up of equipment or spare parts?

    7h30 a.m. to 4h30 p.m.

  11. Do you have offices in Montreal?

  14. Do you have an emergency telephone number for spare parts during the winter season?

    Yes. The number is 450-501-1244 for St-Valérien and 514-341-3236 for Montreal.

  15. Do you have more than one installation facility?

    Yes, we also have installation facilities at Plamondon Camquip, in Charlesbourg QC; Tenco USA in Lakeville NY; Tenco New England in Barre VT and Berwick ME. These are all divisions of Tenco Group.

  16. Is the company wholly owned by one single person (sole proprietorship)?

    No, Tenco has two shareholders: one majority shareholder who is also the President of Tenco Group, and one company made up of three company employees.

  17. Are Tenco wear parts (drive frame shoes, cutting edges, etc.) compatible with equipment manufactured by competitors?

    Yes. The cutting edges, drive frame shoes, spreader chains are compatible. Tenco wear parts are manufactured to replace genuine parts for Tenco equipment only.
